Every year the Pushkin Summer Institute Abroad NSLI-Y Program hires a graduate project assistant and two resident directors.
The NSLI-Y graduate project assistant, who is based in Madison, coordinates all aspects of the program, from recruiting students to drafting reports. It is available to all qualified UW-Madison graduate students in good standing.
The resident directors accompany the PSI Abroad NSLI-Y students to Daugavpils, Latvia during the summer program and are responsible for overseeing all aspects (curricular, co-curricular, and residential) of the program. Candidates for the resident director positions should be proficient in Russian (at least Advanced Mid proficiency on the ACTFL scale) and have extensive experience working with youth. Preference is given to current UW-Madison graduate students in good standing and recent alumni.
