The Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia (CREECA) is recruiting two Resident Directors for the NSLI-Y Pushkin Summer Institute Abroad (PSI Abroad), a 6-week, residential overseas summer program in Russian language for a group of 15 high school juniors and seniors, and recent college-bound high school graduates. Funding for this position comes from The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. The position duties for the Resident Director are full-time for the period of June 18-August 5, 2023, with some additional training and orientations required prior to commencement of the appointment. The resident director coordinates a pre-college program and plans, facilitates, and evaluates related events, as well as instructs courses for a pre-college program in support of preparing individuals to be successful in their higher education endeavors.
- 50% Designs and drafts program specific materials and resources for an educational pre-college program
- 20% Develops, facilitates, and evaluates educational pre-college program content and materials
- 10% Identifies opportunities for pre-college program improvement or new service development
- 20% Schedules, secures, and communicates logistics and resources in support of educational program events and conferences
